Leading this rewarding journey is Adventure Outfitter Mark Mickelson. Mark Mickelson’s fly rod adventures began in 1975 at his family’s fly fishing ranch in Arizona’s White Mountains. He has spent the last twenty-five years chasing fish all over Arizona while putting clients on fish. Whether you are a first-time angler or an avid angler, we custom tailor each trip to your current skill level and expectations in order to provide our guests with a fun and memorable day of fly fishing.
Specializing in fly fishing small streams and rivers for wild trout using ultra-light fly rods. Owned by expert guide, casting instructor, and Arizona native Mark Mickelson. Mark was born with a fly rod in his hand and started fly fishing at the age of five.

Your day of adventure will begin in Arizona’s Rim Country or the White Mountains. We offer walk/wade angling on rivers and streams. Also, we offer trophy Stillwater angling from a drift boat on numerous high mountain lakes. Our guides are Arizona natives and have over 70 years of experience fly fishing Arizona’s rivers, streams, and lakes.

I have been fly fishing for a few years now and have only gone fishing alone. I had the opportunity to go fishing with Mark, and I’m glad I did. We hit it off right from the start sharing fishing stories that turned into normal conversations. It didn’t take 5 minutes of being on the water before he started helping me correct some of my bad casting habits. He is a great instructor and with only a few pointers, my casting felt way better. He also helped me on my fly selection and even hunted bugs to match the hatch. We had a fantastic trip. Since then, I have been able to use his advice to find and land fish more regularly. I highly recommend hitting the water with Mark. I can’t wait until the next trip.
